Deglobalisation, geopolitical unrest and ongoing impacts of the Covid crisis affect inflation, which is likely to be more persistent than first hoped for

Supply-side issues: commodity scarcity, energy scarcity and the need to generate local manufacturing will be ongoing and affect company margins and will see asset prices derated - reflecting a bear market
- Central Banks can't solve supply-side issues, they can only manage demand
- Central Banks policy mistakes have increased as they walk the tight rope on tolerating rising inflation, where people get poorer vs creating a recession by limiting demand
- If client portfolios have any chance of delivering in the next 5 to 10 years we need to manage portfolios differently
- Differentiated portfolio design and diversification of portfolios mitigates sequencing risk and market volatility.

Jerome has also been a Director of Investment Consulting for Russell Investments, a Diversified Assets Portfolio Manager at Credit Suisse and Head of Manager Research for Van Eyk. Jerome has also served as a Board member for the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).
